When can you use sunscreen after microdermabrasion?
Your clinic always decides the exact timing, but most people can use a very gentle sunscreen the same day or the day after, since microdermabrasion typically doesn't damage skin as deeply as laser. Until your clinic confirms this, shade and covering up are safest, and a light, non-comedogenic formula should become a fixed habit afterward.
What makes Skinvisibles® different?
Swiss UV specialists. That's the whole company.
Skinvisibles is a privately held Swiss company based in Zurich, built by a team who have spent their working lives in UV protection and skincare. We are not a skincare line that adds sunscreen – sun protection is all we make.
The mission we set for ourselves is deliberately narrow: invisible UV protection for visible results. Visible results mean healthy, radiant, hydrated skin – which does two things at once, high protection and true hydration. Each formula is designed to do both.
There's a reason SENSE appears in every product name. Daily SPF is all about how it feels: ultra-light, fast-absorbing, absolutely no stickiness. A sunscreen you don't like to wear is one you skip, and one you skip protects nothing.
Our formulas are made in Switzerland, Japan and the EU with independent specialist laboratories, and are sold through beauty institutes and skin clinics that can explain them properly. In Norway it is Cosmenor.

Why polished skin needs a gentle formula
The surface is smoother, but more exposed
Microdermabrasion mechanically removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells, which normally helps dampen both friction and some UV radiation. Right after treatment, skin is therefore smoother but also more exposed than usual. A gentle formula helps calm skin while it protects. This phase is usually short-lived, and most people notice sensitivity fading within a few days of treatment. Multiple sessions are often spaced a few weeks apart to build up the effect gradually, and daily sun protection between sessions helps keep skin even and ready for the next round.

Science, simply put
Why Daily SPF Is the Smartest Skincare Option
Up to 80% of visible skin aging comes from UV exposure – and it happens even on cloudy Norwegian days.
When polished skin can handle SPF again, and what to look for in the days after.
Questions about sunscreen after microdermabrasion
Can I use sunscreen the same day as microdermabrasion?
+
Often yes, since the treatment is usually gentler than laser or a peel, but it's always your clinic that confirms this for your skin and treatment.
Why is skin pink after microdermabrasion?
+
The mechanical polishing removes dead skin cells and temporarily increases blood flow, giving a pink, mildly irritated surface for the first hours to days.
Which sunscreen suits skin best after microdermabrasion?
+
A gentle, non-comedogenic SPF 50 or 50+ with a regenerating ingredient. Transparent Sense is built for exactly this kind of delicate, freshly polished skin.
Can I use tinted sunscreen after microdermabrasion?
+
Yes, once your clinic has cleared you for skincare products again. Choose a light, non-comedogenic formula and avoid rubbing it in.
How often can I get microdermabrasion, and do I need sunscreen between treatments?
+
This varies by clinic. Regardless of interval, daily SPF 50 is recommended continuously, not just around each individual treatment.
